Brewster

Uncle Brewster died yesterday. He was an intellectual and spiritual guide for me and I will miss our discussions on everything from quantum physics to Eastern mysticism. He was eternally curious about the nature of reality and questioned our fundamental perceptions and beliefs, seeking enlightenment from a wide variety of sources and inspiring me to devote myself to this quest too. His recommended reading list were some of the most interesting books I’ve ever read; space and time, quantum phenomena, history and biography, as well as a library of spiritual works including The Bhagavad Gita and Aldous Huxley’s The Perennial Philosophy. Over the past five years, we exchanged books and discussed them as often as we could, which of course now seems not often enough. All this reading truly changed the way I view the world and has inspired me to write my own reflections on life, consciousness, humanity and technology; a story of Us, our history and future. I shared some of my writing with Brewster and he was very supportive and encouraging, but reminded me, as he always did, that ultimately, at the very heart and essential core of existence, it is all about Love. I will miss him, but I will never forget what he taught me and hope that I can continue to share this truth with others.

Brewster!

Stephen what a wonderful tribute I would love to see the list of books that Brewster recommended. He and your aunt Patty have been two of my favorite people.
